For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.

Kairos Outside - Houston TX

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."

2 Timothy 4:7

Kairos Outside Community -

It is with a saddened heart that I share with you that Larry Wiseman graduated into God's kingdom after a courageous battle with cancer. Larry deeply loved Kairos Outside and had been involved in different capacities over the past several years.  His wife and daughter, Marcia and Dyan, are still very involved in Kairos Outside.  Kairos Outside has indeed lost a good and faithful servant; however, we can rejoice in knowing that our loss is Heaven's gain.

Larry's memorial service will be held on:
Saturday, September 26, 2015 - 2:00pm

Ashford United Methodist Church
2201 S. Dairy Ashford
Houston, TX 77077

A Reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service

Marcia and Dyan have requested in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to KPMI or KO Houston.  They have also requested that if you are able to attend the memorial service, please wear your 4th Day Cross and/or your Kairos shirt.  Larry would be so touched.

KOH Weekend #32

 October 2 - 4, 2015

Camp Allen, Navasota, TX

See the Events Page
for More Details

We believe that the families of the incarcerated are "doing time" right along with their loved ones. Kairos Outside is designed to let those families know that there is a community that cares about them and their needs. The weekend is a way to help strengthen the family unit and encourage small support groups for women whose relatives are at the same facility. We provide a secure place for women to share their struggles with each other and with those who are empathetic to their situations. The women on the outside, in many ways, have to be stronger than their relatives inside to survive in today's world. We hope Kairos 'Outside' will help them find strength for their life journeys and give them a chance to find and build friendships that may last a lifetime.
